About Me

Howdy! My name is Mallory Blackwell and I am a multidisciplinary designer and first generation graduate from Texas State University with a BFA in Communication Design. I’m a dedicated and curious problem solver with a love for crafting brands and experiences that make a positive impact on the people who use them and the world at large.

Growing up, it was obvious early on that I would find a home in a creative field. It wasn’t until my senior year in high school, while taking a journalism class, that I figured out it is design, not art, that would be my passion. My job was to layout and typeset my high school’s newsletter, and even though it was full of WordArt and papyrus, my love for typography was born. These days, my focus is on art direction and branding.

When I’m not designing, you can find me dreaming about new projects to work on as I’m browsing Behance and Pinterest, sampling different beers and IPAs, or perusing the indie and post punk aisles of Spotify. Check out the music that kept me going in 2022 ↗
